SILVERTIP LODGE
Silvertip Lodge openes for the
2003 ski season accommodating private groups of up
to 10 people. This lodge is located at the
easternmost shore of the East Arm of Quesnel Lake
and was originally built as a fly-in fishing
camp. |
| |
While rustic and simple, the
lodge is very comfortable. It consists of eight cozy
guestrooms, each with two beds, shared bathrooms, a
living room, dining room, a bar/lounge with a wood
stove, massage room, and an outdoor, lakeside whirlpool
and sauna. There is also one private cabin adjacent to
the lodge with two beds and a bathroom.
|
Silvertip encompasses 1,462 square kilometres of
spectacular terrain in the Cariboo Mountain range and
offers unlimited vertical skiing. The terrain borders on
Wells Gray Provincial Park, Cariboo Mountains Provincial
Park and CMH McBride to the northeast, with few skiers
ever having seen the rugged mountains of this very
remote part of B.C. All skiing is undeveloped wilderness
skiing; currently approximately 80 percent of the skiing
will be in the trees. Transport to Silvertip is via
private charter plane (weather permitting) from Calgary
to the town of Williams Lake followed by a 45-minute
helicopter flight to the lodge. If the weather is poor
we will fly to an alternate location or ground
transportation will be provided. |
