The northwest section of British Columbia includes the Cassiar Mountain Range and some of Canada's most popular paddling rivers. Limited road access in this area allows for some of the best fly-in adventure options in the country. Canoeing and rafting expeditions on the Stikine and Babine Rivers offer some of the best scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities around. This area also includes the pristine Spatsizi Plateau Wilderness Provincial Park. A trip into a fly-in lodge in this park combines comfort and wilderness adventure. Angling opportunities abound on numerous streams, rivers and lakes. Catch gorgeously marked Rainbows, free rising Arctic Grayling, trophy size Bull Trout, Rocky Mountain Whitefish and Lake Trout. Multi-activity trips that include wildlife watching, canoeing, horseback riding and hiking are suitable for the whole family. The Cassiar Highway is the main transportation route through this area. It passes through the Cassiar and Skeena Mountains, connecting the southern Yukon with the Yellowhead highway.
