Trip Highlights
| Day 1: |
| Arrival in Yellowknife. Pre trip orientation and overnight in Yellowknife at your expense. |

| Day 2: |
| Flight transfer to the river. After setting up camp there will be time for hiking and exploring. |
|
| Day 3 to 4: |
| The next two days are spent on the river. From the here to Kathawachaga Lake, the river is a continuous series of Class II and III rapids connected by Class I water. |
|
| Day 5 to 6: |
| After leaving Kathawachaga Lake you will stop at the small island of Nadlock, the site of an old Inuit campsite. Camp will be made near Bellanca Rapids. The rest of the time is spent exploring the area. A good birdwatching spot. |
|
| Day 7 to 8: |
| Back on the river, the current picks up as you wind your way downstream through tundra landscape. Lots of opportunities for wildlife and bird watching. Day hikes of the area will occupy your time. |
|
| Day 9: |
| Arrive at the confluence of the Mara River. You will spend the day walking up a local peak. |
|
| Day 10 to 11: |
| Continuing down the river you will cross the Arctic Circle and continue on to Burnside Falls. Lots of wildlife viewing opportunities. |
|
| Day 12 to 13: |
| You will spend two days exploring Burnside Falls as well as transferring gear over the portage. This is an ideal place for hiking, fishing and relaxing. After completing the portage you will continue downstream through the delta and on to the community of Bathurst Inlet. |
|
| Day 14: |
| This day will be spent around the lodge at Bathurst Inlet. Here you can meet local Inuit people and learn about their way of life. |
|
| Day 15: |
| Weather permitting you will be picked up at the lodge and flown back to Yellowknife. Overnight in Yellowknife at your own expense. |
|
| Day 16: |
| Departure home. |
