Group meets at the basecamp in Algonquin Park (or in Toronto at the Shell Gas Station at the York Mills Subway station at 7:45am). After lunch, we load our packs and canoe into Algonquin Park. Along the way we learn how to paddle, portage and have loads of time to swim in the clean freshwater.
Day 2:
After breakfast, paddle through a series of classic Algonquin Park lakes. Look for wildlife such as beavers, Great Blue herons and moose. Great opportunities to hike, swim, and fish. Enjoy a night paddle and evening bonfire.
Day 3:
Hike through a mixed maple forest learning about the unique mix of flora and fauna. Paddle back to the take out, stopping along the way for lunch. We return to the rendezvous location for a 3 pm departure.
