TRIP DETAILS

Trip Highlights
Day 1:
Late afternoon pick up in Halifax. Bike familiarization and welcome dinner. Overnight in a local country inn.
Day 2:
A day of sea kayaking around the Aspotogan Peninsula, visiting offshore islands, beaches and fishing villages. Picnic lunch. Overnight in a local country inn.
Day 3:
Another day of kayaking between Mahone Bay and Lunenberg. Overnight at a local country inn.
Day 4:
Leave Lunenberg for morning exploration by bike of Kingsburg, Hirtle's Beach, and Riverport on the way to the LaHave Ferry. Stop to visit some sea caves at Ovens Park. Lunch at the LaHave Bakery before heading off to Crescent and Risser's Beaches. Follow a saltwater swim with a freshwater rinse in a natural whirlpool. Travel distance is 40 miles.
Day 5:
Morning exploration of Broad Cove, Vogler's Cove, Little Harbour, and Cherry Hill Beach before lunch in Port Medway or Beach Meadows. Afternoon cycle through fishing town of Liverpool to White Point Beach Lodge, where you can stroll on the beach, swim in the ocean or soak in the hottub. Overnight at lodge. Travel distance 40 miles.
Day 6:
Cycle to Southwest Port Mouton, then follow a wooded trail to St. Catherine's River Beach. After lunch at the beach return to Port Mouton for van transfer back to Halifax. Travel distance is 7 miles on road and 10 miles off road or 5 mile hike.
