Property:
Edward Gawler Prior, a former Premier of British Columbia, built this Tudor-style manor from 1911-1913. Through out this elegant home, there were 20 rooms, a garden level ballroom with sprung hardwood floor, a stone archway leading to the garden and ten fireplaces. Prior was later appointed Lieutenant Governor by King George V and served until his death in 1920. The architect of the house was W. Ridgway Wilson known for other large buildings in Victoria.

here:
From Vancouver: Driving off the ferry leads you directly onto the Pat Bay Highway (#17). Follow #17 into Victoria (about 20 minutes) and the road becomes Blanshard Street. Follow Blanshard to the heart of downtown (5 to 10 minutes). Turn left at Fort Street. Drive 10 blocks to St. Charles Street. Turn right. The Inn is on the right, with parking on the side.
