Wildlife watching safari to view arctic wolves
|
|
Come and experience a wildlife watching trip of a lifetime. View arctic wildlife, few people have had the opportunity to see, such as arctic wolves, caribou and muskox. There are few places left on earth that are unaltered by man, one such place is the barrenlands in the Northwest Territories. Situated in the vast Precambrian Shield, this unique landscape of bedrock glaciated hills covered in lichen, wildlflowers and shrubs is a magnet for large populations of tundra wildlife. You will travel near the Thelon Game Sanctuary, the largest and most remote wildlife refuge in the world. From your basecamp you will have the opportunity to view up close herds of muskoxen, and a variety of raptors, such as gyrfalcons, peregrine falcons, bald and golden eagles. Featured on this unique trip are several tundra white wolf dens, and you will see adult wolves and their pups in their natural habitat.
