ABOUT THIS REGION  CANOEING - RIVER TRIPS

Scenic canoeing tour down the Noire River

This canoeing adventure takes you down the Noire River, the little sister to the Dumoine River. The Noire River rises northwest of Ottawa and flows south into the Ottawa River. On this canoeing trip you will travel through scenic forest, passing over dozens of enjoyable Grade 1 and 2 rapids. The Noire River is relatively small and the terrain alternates between Canadian Shield rock and sand. The numerous beaches are excellent for swimming and exploring.
