ABOUT THIS REGION  DRIVE-TO FISHING LODGES - LAKE

Great lake fishing on Gowganda Lake

Nestled snugly among birch and pine trees on the Northwest tip of Gowganda Lake, this lake fishing lodge is 2 miles by road or 1 mile by water from the hamlet of Gowganda. The 5 mile Gowganda lake with it's 35 miles of shoreline is rugged and unspoiled and offers superior lake fishing. A gorge at the east end brings the Montreal River rushing in over Walleye spawning rapids. A waterfall cascading into a 140 foot fishing hole, rocky shoals, weeded areas, drop offs, and stumpy shallows, make this a "Fisherman's Paradise" offering a variety of fish. Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Perch and Sisco Herring. Adventurous anglers can take a side trip to one or more of the countless backwood lakes where the fishing is superb. Experienced guides will take you to a lake so unspoiled you will feel like you are the first to fish it. This lodge offers access to fifteen different lakes that you can either boat to or travel to by ATV. They have boats and motors on most of the lakes.
