This trip offers an amazing introduction to whitewater kayaking. Experience exciting Class I-III whitewater in these safe a durable inflatable kayaks. Your guides will provide a full safety briefing prior to the trip so everyone enjoys a safe and fun day on the river. These trips will take you down the Kananaskis or Bow rivers for an unforgettable ride. Expect to get wet on this one!
The trip offers some excellent opportunities for viewing wildlife in the area. No previous kayaking experience is necessary and your guides will video tape the entire adventure, allowing you to view it in the van on the way back to your accommodations.
Season: June to September
Requirements: Bathing suit and towel.
Suggested Clothing: Dry clothes for after the trip, sneakers.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: Minimum age restriction is 12 years. Minimum weight restriction is 90 lbs.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in the Canmore area. Canmore can be reached by taking Highway #1 west of Calgary, approximately 100 km or east of Banff on Highway #1, approximately 30 km. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: Not included in the price but available at local bed & breakfasts, lodges and hotels.
Guide Information: Your guides are experienced paddlers trained in wilderness first aid and river rescue.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures range between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
