The Coquihalla River is located just outside Hope BC, and features almost continuous rapids throughout its length. Watch for jade in the river and eagles in the sky as you plunge through the heart of the Cascade Mountains. Committed, Boulder Drop and Initiation are just a few of the 20 + rapids on this cold clean river. As a free flowing river the water levels are dependent on the amount of snow pack each season but generally the guides run this river May and June. Included in this trip is a tour of the Othello/Quintette tunnels (part of the historic Kettle Valley Railway) and a look at some Class 6 rapids. This section of river may look familiar to Rambo fans as the movie "First Blood" had the helicopter scene filmed here.
