Alpine fly-in fishing adventures at Spruce Lake
A fly fishing paradise! Whether you are a trout fishing enthusiast with a custom rod, or a beginner angler with an urge to hook a magnificent rainbow trout, Spruce Lake will fulfil your dream. Imagine a secluded mountain lake in the heart of the sunny south Chilcotin-the last expanse of truly wild west. Picture a surrounding panorama of snow-covered peaks and a forested terrain populated with mountain goats, big horn sheep, black bears and deer. Complete the picture with a vision of a silver trout shattering mountain reflections on the surface of the lake. Take into account that this lake belongs to you almost exclusively. It is protected by its own remote location, and can be accessed only by foot, on horseback or by float plane. Fish for wild rainbow trout, brook trout, dolly varden and kokanee in over 25 remote mountain lakes, rivers, ponds and streams. Fly-in camp or ranch based options are 4 day all-inclusive adventures suited to individuals, or small groups. All-inclusive 4 day Fly-In Fishing Schools are suited to a range of anglers, individuals or small groups. Licensed angling instructors teach the fundamentals of fly and spin casting, seasonal patterns and how to find the big ones! Access to your Spruce Lake camp - the heart of South Chilcotin Mountains Park - is by floatplane.

Spruce Lake is teeming with a natural population of native rainbow trout. Cold mountain streams feed the lake, keeping the trout in perfect fighting condition throughout the season. With its extensive shoreline shallows, Spruce Lake is ideal for fly-fishing and spin casting. You will strike many fish and your guide will cook them to order. As well as tips on the best flies to use, your licensed angling guide is knowledgeable on wildlife and the environment. If you want to break from the fishing your guides can take you on guided hikes to explore 50 million year old fossil beds and unforgettable viewpoints.
