OVERVIEW GUIDE TRAINING PROGRAMS

Guiding in the wilderness by horseback

Learn the skills to become a professional horseback riding guide on these educational guide training programs in the Chilcotin Mountains of British Columbia. These one and two week wilderness Guide training programs are about "guiding in the wilderness by horseback" and provide the basic working knowledge and practical skills required by a professional guide. This includes many aspects of guide outfitting and adventure tourism such as horse handling, shoeing, packing, horse care, camp preparation, wilderness skills and operational procedures. The programs prepare participants for entry level positions within the guide outfitting industry, adventure tourism, guest ranches, fishing lodges or riding stables.
