Adventure lodge in northern Saskatchewan

Spend a week exploring this unique area along the Churchill River on this multi-activity adventure lodge package. Take a motorboat tour of Otter Lake and observe the mighty Churchill River system as well as waterfalls, aboriginal rock paintings, wildlife and boreal forest. Spend one day hiking the many trails and observing the landscape that makes up the Precambrian Shield. For some real excitement, you will spend a day whitewater rafting the Churchill River. One day is scheduled as Aboriginal Day where you will visit a Cree household and learn about various aspects of their native culture. This day includes a visit the historical Stanely Mission. Remaining days will be spent exploring Dickens Lake by canoe and observing the unique wildlife and landscape.

The lodge offers comfortable beds, quality meals and a great view of Otter Lake from the large front windows. On cold evenings you can relax by the fireplace. Each day there is a unique activity planned that shows a different aspect of the Precambrian Shield. During the evenings you will be entertained by videos, slide shows and talks about the history of the area.

Suggested Clothing: Warm jacket, hiking boots, long pants, hat, rain gear.

Restrictions: This package requires a minimum of 5 people.

Equipment Provided: Boats, canoes, rafts.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Missinipe, Saskatchewan. Missinipe is accessed by road by driving north from Prince Albert and past La Ronge. La Ronge is accessible by air and bus from Saskatoon. Transportation from La Ronge to Missinipe is also available.
Accommodations: Accommodation are in private rooms in the main lodge. The lodge has three large bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a large lounge area with a fireplace, kitchen and dining room.
Meal Information: Meals are included.
Guide Information: Guided tours include hiking, boat tours, whitewater rafting, canoeing and native cultural tours.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures range from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
