Labrador The Big Land is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas left to be explored. Labrador has an area of 294,330 square kilometers and a Population of only 32,000 people. It is the home of the largest caribou herd in the world, with a population of over 700,000 animals. These animals migrate into the Labrador West area during the winter to feed. This is an excellent opportunity for taking pictures and it is not uncommon to see hundreds of caribou and sometimes thousands in one sighting. Wolves are often sighted during the day time and on clear nights it is common to hear the sound of wolves howling.
