You'll travel the historic and scenic Churchill River in northern Saskatchewan's Lac La Ronge Provincial Park, following the path of Indigenous travellers and voyageurs of centuries past. Paddling, portaging, navigating by map and compass, cooking over an open fire, and camping in the wild will all be part of the canoe trip experience. Develop your confidence in canoeing and outdoor living skills, and discover a new and entertaining way to relax in the Canadian wilderness. On the Bonding with Nature tour, explore intriguing mysteries of nature with a biologist and ethnobotanist who will accompany you on this canoeing trip. Learn the ways of northern birds and wildlife and discover how boreal forest plants are used for food, medicine and craft work. A great chance to re-connect with your earthly roots.
