The South Saskatchewan River gathers water mostly from the eastern slopes of Western Canada's Rocky Mountains. It crosses the prairies of southern Alberta and Saskatchewan as it eventually makes its way eastward to Hudson's Bay. From Lake Diefenbaker, the river's fresh waters flow northward through the City of Saskatoon. The river winds its way through an agricultural upland as it flows toward Saskatoon, but down in the valley bottom it presents a wilderness-like aura. Plenty of wildlife, few tourists and lots of solitude -- these are elements of a well-kept secret that only a few adventurers experience first-hand. Join this privileged group by discovering the secret for yourself on this short overnight canoeing adventure.
