ABOUT THIS REGION  HORSEBACK RIDING

Horseback riding trip into Jasper's Tonquin Valley

Ride or hike into the scenic Tonquin Valley in Jasper National Park. The horseback riding trips of about 12 miles lead into the Tonquin Valley to a lakeside alpine chalet (6450 feet) on Amethyst Lake in Jasper National Park. Once at the chalet, you can head out on foot or on horseback into the mountains and meadows and explore this beautiful area. The Amethyst Lakes, located in the valley, offer splendid fishing for rainbow and brook trout as large as 8 pounds. Rowboats are there for your use.
