ABOUT THIS REGION  MULTI ACTIVITY TRIPS - SUMMER

Multi-activity Gold Rush van tour

If you are ready for a multi-activity adventure that leads you into one of the world's most remarkable wilderness regions, come and explore Canada's Yukon and relive the gold rush of 1898. Discover the land of the midnight sun, the land of rivers, deep blue lakes and magnificent alpine scenery. Your tour starts with an easy 9 day canoe trip down the Yukon River. Far away from civilization you follow the trail of the Gold Rush history, explore several abandoned settlements and constantly find relics from the Gold Rush trail. While on the river, be on the lookout for wildlife such as black bear, moose and bald eagles. Campsites are set up along the river and meals are cooked over an open fire and may include the catch of the day. Your canoe trip comes to an end, but the adventure continues in Dawson City and on a drive over the Top of the World Highway into eastern Alaska. Back into the Yukon to set up a base camp at Kluane Lake from where you will head out each day to enjoy hiking and whitewater rafting. The trip finishes with a drive to Haines, Alaska and a short ferry ride to Skagway and back up to Whitehorse to complete the loop.
