Raft one of the best whitewater rafting rivers in Canada on this day trips on the Kicking Horse River. The fun starts here! Join your guides for an amazing paddle through the long rapids and spectacular scenery of the Kicking Horse River. The Kicking Horse offers something for everyone, big waves, long rapids and spectacular scenery. This river is both fun and challenging. On your return trip to Banff we will stop at the Scenic Lodge Lake Louise Hostel where we can wet our whistles and enjoy the full buffet lunch at Bill Peytos Cafe.

Day of whitewater rafting the Kicking Horse River

Season: May to September
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Suggested Clothing: Warm jacket, sweater, comfortable shoes, bathing suit, towel.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Restrictions: All participants must be at least 90 lbs and 12 years of age.
Maximum Number of People: 75
Equipment Provided: Complimentary transportation from Banff or Canmore, Helmets, Life jackets, Wetsuits and Booties.
Transportation: Trips originate in Banff or Canmore, Alberta. Transportation to and from the river is provided. Banff and Canmore are located west of Calgary on Highway #1, about a one hour drive. Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: Not included in the price but available at local hotel, motels, lodges and bed & breakfasts.
Meal Information: Full lunch and beverages included.
Guide Information: Your guides are professional and experienced.
Weather Information: Average summer temperatures are between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Comments: Trips depart Canmore at 07:30 hours and Banff at 08:00 hours. Return times to Banff approximately 16:00 hours and Canmore at 16:30 hours.
