Arctic cruise along the historic Mackenzie River

The mighty Mackenzie River is the setting for this unique arctic cruise adventure. This is a one-of-a-kind cruise ship that sails from Ft. Providence to Inuvik, on the northern end of Mackenzie River - a distance of over 1000 miles! Come along for a relaxing ride as the beauty of the Deh Cho (Big River) quietly slips by. Visit local Dene communities along the river and participate in cultural events along the way. You can make each day as relaxing or as exciting as you wish. Historical, archaeological, flora and fauna, wildlife or lunch on shore - whatever the interest - the tour will travel new and ancient sites for everyone on board to experience. A combination of the scenic beauty of the North and an abundance of Aboriginal culture and hospitality will ensure the Adventure Traveller a vacation of a lifetime.

Arctic cruise along the historic Mackenzie River

There are good opportunities to observe wildlife, to do some fishing and includes ground tours of local communities. The M.S. Norweta is a 103 foot refurbished vessel offering all the ammenities in comfortable surroundings. There are daily opportunities to visit local historic sites and to step into wilderness where few have gone before. As you head north (downstream), or south (upstream), there will be many points of interest and the scenery is always new and spectacular.
