Winter eco lodge on the Teslin River, Yukon

Enjoy the winter Yukon days from this eco adventure lodge on the Teslin River. This beautiful log lodge offers the perfect location to relax and enjoy the Yukon wilderness while minimizing impact on the environment. Some of the 'green' features of this lodge include off-grid solar power generation, state of the art log construction, wood burning fireplaces, all organic meals and coffee/tea, eco-friendly activities such as snowshoeing and cross country skiing, organic canvas teepee suites, wood heated sauna and wood & solar heated hot tub. The facility also offers a selection of spa treatments and all ingredients used in the products are 100% organic and extremely healthy for you, your body and your soul. Of course none of the products (or their ingredients) are ever tested on any animals.

There are many things in the winterrtime you may wish to do while staying at this lodge. Activities at or near the lodge include snowshoeing, dogsledding and cross country skiing. With the long, dark nights, this is also an excellent location for viewing the aurora borealis.

Season: November to April
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle, binoculars.
Suggested Clothing: Winter coat, snowpants, winter boots, hat, gloves, fleece underclothes, long underwear, wool socks, bathing suit.
Difficulty: Easy
Equipment Provided: Use of all of the lodge facilities including wood burning hot tub, wood heated dry sauna, free wireless Internet, wireless CD and DVD player, library, snowshoes.
Transportation: Trips begin and end at the lodge, located about a 1.5 hour drive south of Whitehorse, Yukon. Shuttle service is available for an extra cost.
Accommodations: All suites in the main lodge are of the absolute highest standard in regards to luxury and environmental awareness. Each room has a private jacuzzi tub, 3-piece bathroom, organic towels, bedding, robes and toiletries, double, queen or king size beds with organic rubber mattresses and north facing views for viewing the aurora borealis. The teepees are deluxe custom made with organically grown canvas and have a hardwood floor and private fireplace. Cabin suites have private bathroom and fireplace.
Meal Information: Complimentary tea, coffee and baking served in the afternoon. Prices do not include meals but these can be purchased at the lodge.
Weather Information: Winter temperatures range between 0 and -25 degrees celsius.
