There are many things in the summertime you may wish to do while staying at this lodge. The phenomenon of extended daylight is a new concept to most people. At the height of the midnight sun (summer solstice is June 21) you will only have about 1 hour per day of semi-darkness. Imagine taking a nice hike along one of the many trails at midnight and seeing the sun still up in the sky. Or wake up for a very early coffee at 3 am in the morning only to see the sun shining on you. For some this might be a slight challenge (the getting up early part) but for most, this time of year is an exciting experience. The Yukon is also famous for its wildlife viewing. There are so many animals to be seen at all times of the day. Take your binoculars and look for moose, grizzly bear, dall sheep and caribou. You never know what you might spot. Or just relax at the lodge, treat yourself to a spa treatment or read a book. Whatever you decide to do, this lodge is the perfect setting.
