Summer cabin rentals on Dalayee Lake, Yukon
These wilderness cabins are situated on secluded Dalayee Lake, nestled in the rolling hills of southern Yukon, not far from Whitehorse. Accessible by floatplane or trail, the rustic log cabins offer a true respite from the stresses of modern-day life. This is a dream-come-true place to relax and explore in an unspoiled alpine setting. Dalayee Lake lies in the boreal forest. Stroll through typical white spruce, pine and alpine fir forest. Look for signs of passing moose, lynx and snowshoe hare. Enjoy the sight of the plentiful waterfowl and listen to the whiskey-jacks and chickadees. To respect the sensitive wilderness we have only a few trails developed. Paddle out on the turquoise water of the lake and, in fall, marvel at the changing colors of the birches, aspen and willows. Gaze at the stars and, with a bit of luck, you may watch the amazing northern lights dancing across the sky.

On the HIKE-IN package, your hosts will pick you up at your hotel in Whitehorse and drive about one hour on the Alaska Highway to the trailhead. From there you hike to the cabins. Your guide stays with you for the first day to make sure you feel comfortable with your secluded homestead, after this you will be on your own. On the last day the guide will meet you at the trailhead after you walked out to the highway. From there drive back to Whitehorse. On the FLY-IN package, your hosts pick you up at your hotel and drive to the floatplane base at Schwatka Lake. There you will board a floatplane for the 30 minute flight to Dalayee Lake. Enjoy the bird's-eye view of Yukon's great scenery before the plane lands on the lake in front of the cabins. After an introduction to cabin life, the guide will leave again and you can enjoy the marvellous solitude on your own. On the last day you will again be picked up by floatplane.
