This very private oceanfront island home has everything you need for a perfect retreat. There is also a separate cottage on the property which can be rented with the main house to increase capacity for your group. Catering or meal services can be arranged for your group, as well as recommendations for activities on Galiano Island. Professional or executive corporate retreats can be very productive at this relaxing location. Work sessions or artists workshops in the large meeting room (additional cost) can alternate with outdoor activities on the property. The retreat is also a wonderful location for an intimate oceanfront wedding. Wedding packages and planning are available, or choose the home for a fantastic private honeymoon. The retreat is the result of many years of hard work and much love. The main house is built following the principles enounced by the great Californian architect Christopher Alexander in his principal work, "A Pattern Language". The property is a 20 acre enclave in the new Gulf Islands National Park, surrounded by ocean and over 200 acres of protected land. There is an active eagle's nest nearby and numerous deer, seals, sea lions, otters and orcas in the area.

| Transportation: Trips originate and end on Galiano Island, British Columbia. Galiano Island is among the Gulf Islands, and serviced regularly by ferry from Vancouver (50 minutes) and Victoria. Floatplane service is also available from the Vancouver waterfront or the airport. |
| Accommodations: There are 6 bedrooms in the main house. Each has its own features and layout. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, and there are 2 other full size shared bathrooms. There is a huge kitchen, eating area with dining table and living area. The meeting room is 300 sq. ft., has lots of light (good for a studio!) and equipped with 50" HD monitor, projection screen and sink. The meeting room is an addional cost. Outdoor hot tub located on the waterfront, and wood fired sauna located in the forest. There is a large heated wall tent set up on the cedar deck to expand the sleeping quarters. There is also a cottage on the property which can be rented with the main house or separately. The cottage sleeps up to 4 and is fully equipped with bathroom, kitchen and outdoor covered deck. |
| Meal Information: Not included in base rental rate, but meal services and menu planning can be arranaged for your group. There are also many nice restaurants on Galiano Island. There is a full size kitchen in the main house with two islands, quality cookware, gas stove, convection oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, freezer & BBQ. Anything you'll need to cook a grand dinner! |
