Gulf Islands Overnight Fishing Adventure
This two day salmon fishing adventure departing downtown Vancouver is one that you won't soon forget! Departing early in the morning our Grady White will whisk you away from Vancouver's beautiful skyline across Georgia Strait to the Gulf Islands. This 25-mile crossing provides fantastic panoramic views of Howe Sound, Bowen Island, Vancouver Island, and the snow capped peaks of the Coast Mountain Range. There is a very good chance of seeing killer whales, sea lions, seals, and porpoises during the trip. Once the grounds are reached fishing for salmon begins. The 10-hour fishing days that are standard on this package allow us to fish in areas that are the most ideal depending on the time of day and season. Typically we fish for Chinook (king) salmon exclusively from May to July. We also target Coho (Silvers), Sockeye, and Pinks as well in August and September. Prime time for Chinooks is from May to July! The reefs near the Gulf Islands also provide some good ling cod and rock cod fishing in season. If you are looking for a change of pace at some point during the day we can take some time to explore and do some eco touring. This is a great way to increase your chances of seeing sea lions, seals, killer whales, bald eagles, and porpoise.

After a long relaxing day on the water your seaside cabin on Gabriola Island will be waiting for you to enjoy the rest of the evening. The option is yours to walk to the local restaurant and pub or to cook up your days catch in the self-contained cabins. The second day of your trip starts nice and early to catch the morning bite. Fishing will begin soon after departing your seaside cabin. Fishing is usually very productive 10 minutes from your seaside cabin. After a full days fishing we once again cross the Strait of Georgia to return to downtown Vancouver. We will then assist you in transportation back to your hotel and the packaging of your catch. This two-day trip is an amazing way to experience all of what Vancouver and the Gulf Islands have to offer!
