Camping gear rentals for a self drive tour

Explore some of the most scenic and diverse scenery in Canada on one of these self guided camping tours. Hit the road and travel at your own pace as you experience some of the most beautiful scenery in North America. Your rental package includes all of the necessary gear to offer you a camping adventure of a lifetime. Campsites are plentiful in Alberta and British Columbia and campground guides will allow you to easily arrange your own itinerary. If you need help in arranging your route, an itinerary planning service is available. This includes help in arranging activities along your route, including hiking, horseback riding, fishing, whitewater rafting and helicopter tours.

Camping gear rentals for a self drive tour

A sample itinerary is as follows: From Edmonton, you travel west to the pristine Rocky Mountains arriving in Jasper National Park (4 Hr). You can spend two several days at a fully serviced campground (Showers) just out side the town of Jasper. From Jasper, you travel south (1 3/4 Hr) to the David Thompson/Nordegg area for a 2-day stay at a local area wilderness campground. From David Thompson you continue south (1 3/4 Hr) to Banff/ Lake Louise. Again, you can stay several days at a fully serviced campground (with showers) just outside of Banff town site. From Banff, you travel east leaving the Rocky Mountains and travel 3 hours to the Bad Lands of Alberta for a two-day stay in the prairie town Drumheller. From Drumheller you can travel back towards Calgary (1 1/2 Hr) or head north back to Edmonton (3 1/2 Hr).

Season: May to October
Requirements: Vehicle, campsite and park fees, groceries.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle, pocketknife, flashlight, fishing gear.
Suggested Clothing: Warm clothes for a variety of weather conditions. Rain gear, warm jacket, long pants, shorts, t-shirts, hiking boots, wool socks, hat.
Difficulty: Easy
Restrictions: Camping kits will require a security deposit contract to be signed. Individual item rentals will require a minimum $100.00 deposit fee and or a deposit contract may be necessary. The entire deposit or part of it will be refunded when an inspection of all camping equipment rented has been carried out by a supervisor when rental equipment is returned.
Equipment Provided: Rental packages include tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, chairs and all necessary cooking equipment. Maps and campground guides for Alberta and BC also included. A full list of the gear is available upon request.
Transportation: Rental packages are picked up and returned to Edmonton, Alberta. Pick up and drop off in Calgary can also be arranged.
Accommodations: All packages include tents and sleeping bags and campsites are readily available throughout the province.
Meal Information: All rental packages include cooking equipment, stove, plates, bowls, utensils and glasses. Full inventory list available.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures will average from 15 to 25 degrees celsius.
Comments: Other equipment for rent not included in the standard packages is available for an additional cost. Inquire for details.
