ABOUT THIS REGION  WESTERN - COWBOY VACATIONS

Fall cattle drive from a working cattle ranch

Head to Alberta's majestic Porcupine Hills and live the cowboy life on a true western ranch vacation. This is Canadian Ranch Country at its finest. Nestled in the Porcupine Hills, on the eastern slopes of the Rockies, lies this ranch. September is the time of year the cattle are moved from the pasture back to their winter home and you can join your hosts for an authentic cowboy experience and assist with this annual event. Long hours in the saddle make this package best suited for the experienced rider.

Fall cattle drive from a working cattle ranch

September is great time of the year when all of the cows come home, it's so nice to see how their babies have grown over the summer months and it's good to see them all come home again. Help your hosts trail the cows home and enjoy the sights of the changing seasons, the leaves seem to be a shade of all the Autumn colors, it is a ride that you won't soon forget. Enjoy your stay in a private log cabin and spend some time just relaxing at the ranch. This getaway offers hearty home cooking, riding and trailing cattle, general cattle work and daily ranch activities and of course some friendly southern hospitality.
