This is the perfect location for the avid winter adventurer. The area is ideal for ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and the cottage is within 100 m of the entrance to more than 1100 km of snowmobile and ATV trails, maintained by the K&P Snow Trails Association. If you are a nature lover then the Madawaska Highlands General Resource Area & Matawatchan Provincial Nature Reserve might be of interest to you. Within these areas are "5 provincially significant life science Areas of Natural & Scientific interest" according to the Ministry of Natural Resources. Also nearby is the Purdon Conservation Area where the rare Lady's Slipper orchid grows in isolation. So if you love the outdoors and you want a private and comfortable retreat, it would be hard to beat this wonderful home on Palmerston Lake, Ontario.

| Transportation: The cottage is located on Palmerston Lake, near the town of Perth, Ontario. It is about a 1.5 hour drive southwest of Ottawa. |
| Accommodations: This waterfront cottage has two bedrooms and a loft, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, wood fireplace in living area, gas fireplace in basement rec room, TV, DVD, stereo, CD, satellite, central vac, air conditioners in bedrooms and living room, washer/dryer. Master bedroom has 2 queen beds with ensuite bath. Loft has 2 twin beds and full bathroom with jetted tub. Basement bedroom has 2 twin beds and bathroom with shower. Two sofa beds, one in the basement and one in the living area. |
| Meal Information: Fully stocked kitchen. Full grocery service and several restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Beer and liquor store also nearby. |
| Guide Information: Guides can be arranged for ATV and snowmobile tours. |
| Weather Information: Winter temperatures can average from -5 to -30 C. Fall colours in October are spectacular. |
| Comments: $500 damage deposit required for all reservations. Renters are responsible for cleaning up on the last day and taking the garbage to the local dump. Check in is 4 pm, check out at noon. |
