ABOUT THIS REGION  SNOWSHOEING

Snowshoeing in the Canadian Rocky Mountains

Enjoy the beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains on one of these interpretive snowshoeing tours. Imagine: Traditional (or modern) snow shoes, snow capped mountains, copious amounts of deep powdered snow and a 360 degree panorama of breathtaking scenery! A great family activity as you meander through the silent forest following tracks of coyote, lynx, cougar, snow shoe hare and signs of other animals! What makes this different is you may choose an Aboriginal guide for the perfect authentic experience of this Heritage sport! Your guide will share with you some interpretive information on your snow shoes - what's the difference between using "Old Fashioned" ones (actually known as Traditional) and the modern snow shoes? You will have a better understanding of what type you use for what area and what terrain - it's more than just choosing Traditional or Modern.

Snowshoeing in the Canadian Rocky Mountains

You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in some unique scenery through the eyes of a local in a little hidden gem that few tourists know about… ssshhh it's our secret! Fitness is not a worry, your guide caters to all types of interests and abilities; terrain is carefully selected to ensure your comfort and fitness. Never snow shoed before? Don't worry, your guide will coach you through it, but you will find if you can walk, you can snow shoe! It's that easy!
