The basic program may include the following skills: a variety of fire lighting techniques, fire design, shelter building (winter and summer), signalling and survival tools, constructing basic survival weapons, plant identification for food and medicine and animal awareness and safety. The instructors are able to develop new programs to suit clients, so if there is a specific requirement the client has, it is likely that they can accommodate!

| Requirements: Sleeping bag for overnight trips. |
| Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen. |
| Suggested Clothing: In the summer wear jacket, long pants, hiking boots. In the winter wear warm coat, snow boots, fleece underclothes, hat, gloves. |

| Transportation: Trips originate and end near Canmore, Alberta. |
| Accommodations: Not included on the single day programs but available at local hotels, lodges and bed & breakfasts. Three day program includes 2 nights in a tipi or Trapper's tent. |
| Meal Information: Snacks and drink included on the half day. Lunch included on the full day program. Meals included on the overnight program. |
| Guide Information: Professional certified interpretive guides have many years of experience in guiding in the Rocky Mountains. Aboriginal guides available upon request. |
| Weather Information: Summer temperatures average 15 to 25 degrees celsius. Winter temperatures average from -5 to -20 degrees celsius. |
