ABOUT THIS REGION  COTTAGE & CABIN RENTALS

Oceanside cabins in Telegraph Cove, BC

Rent one of these quaint boardwalk cabins in Telegraph Cove during your next trip to Vancouver Island. Voted one of the ten best "towns" in Canada to visit by travel writers (as published in Harrowsmith Magazine), Telegraph Cove is tucked away on the eastern coast of Northern Vancouver Island in one of the last virtually untouched areas of the North American continent. This tiny sawmill and cannery community was important to the development of the North Island and has a rich and colourful history. From the 1920s to present day, residents of the Cove continue to maintain their firm hold on the area and take pride in being able to present it to the general public in as close to its original condition as possible. Telegraph Cove is also home to some of the best whale watching and bear watching tours in BC. Whales, bald eagles, dolphins, porpoises, otters, bears, and an endless and diverse list of marine and forest animals inhabit the surrounding area. Watch grizzly bears feast on salmon in majestic Knight Inlet or enjoy a nature cruise to view Orcas and other marinelife.

All boardwalk and waterside cabins are rented for nightly stays or longer and a full-service campsite (including shower, laundry and washroom services) is also available. You will only have to walk a short distance to find a fully stocked General Store for your convenience, a 140 berth marina to moor your boat, and a fully licensed restaurant and pub is waiting to serve you a sumptuous meal. These unique cabins have often been referred to by historians and by the descendents of the families that lived here many years ago. The buildings have kept their original charm from the past with the old "unimproved" look on the exterior and a fresh new modernized decor on the interior.
