Baffin Explorer Arctic cruise

Explore the rugged coast of Baffin Island, Nunavut on this arctic adventure. The east side of Baffin Island is one of the world’s great coastlines. The remnants the Laurentide Icesheet is the backdrop for this rugged mountainous spine that runs from the Cumberland Peninsula up to Bylot Island and beyond to Devon and Ellesmere. Deep fjords cut into the main Baffin range where you will find glaciers spilling down to the sea.

Baffin Explorer Arctic cruise

You’ll have a look at some of the wilder places in this wild land. The sheer bird cliffs to the north of Cape Dyer, the ocean trench paralleling Isabella Bay- home to bowhead whales and the winding fjords above Clyde River on Baffin’s northeast shoulder. You’ll also skirt the shores of Bylot and Devon Islands, the latter being the largest uninhabited island in the world as you steam into Lancaster Sound toward Resolute.
