Participate in a variety of winter activities while at the lodge including dogsledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sleigh rides. Learn to mush your own team of dogs along the scenic trails. Your guide will brief you on the mechanics of sledding, introduce you to your team, explain and demonstrate how the dogs are hitched to the sled and, finally, show you just how it’s done! Explore the winter wonderland on a pair of Ojibwa snowshoes. Take a moment to observe the antics of boreal bird species and learn the fine points of winter woody plant identification. Or, take an old-fashioned sleigh ride or explore the area on cross country skis. The possibilities are endless and the choices are up to you.
