A taste of heaven with this Apples, Cheese and Cider Agri-Tour. Start this tour with a visit to the mountainside Carmelis Alpine Goat Cheese Artisan farm and sample their European-style cheeses overlooking the spectacular Okanagan Lake. Carmelis is a family-owned dairy “boutique” with 80 goats raised in a natural environment and treated like ‘kids’. The cheeses are produced on a small scale which allows close monitoring of each and every cheese. Traditional techniques, learned in Europe, are used in the production of the cheeses, which are made from 100% goat milk.
Then, an orchard tour at Kelowna Land & Orchard Co. reveals how modern technology is used to grow “the perfect apple”. The orchard tour is conducted on a comfortable covered hay wagon for a behind the scenes look at this high tech modern working farm located in this historic orchard established in 1904. Complete the tour with tastings of the unique apple ice cider produced by Raven Ridge Cidery, a new cidery located on-site at the orchard.
