The lodge is surrounded by boreal forest, where over 70 varieties of birds make their homes in summer. All year long, moose, deer and elk
are found close at hand. Bears are often seen spring, summer and fall, and occasionally wolves may be heard howling though they are rarely seen. The north fork of the Edson River flows through the property where Rainbow Trout and Arctic Grayling may be caught when in season, we encourage catch and release. There are several large beaver dams only minutes from the lodge where these large water mammals may be viewed in the mornings and at dusk.
