| Season: March to October |
| Requirements: Fishing license. Recommended tackle if bringing your own: For single handed fly anglers, a 8-10wt fly rod with 30lb test backing (for large species), as well as a 10-15lb leader. For spey fishermen a 14ft 10/11wt rod will be excellent for steelhead and Chum, a 6wt for trout and char and coho. A multi tip line is recommended as we use the dry and sinking tip methods. A client should have a variety of flies in his box. We recommend dry types like the Muddler Minnow, steelhead Bee, and the steelhead Bomber. For sinking flies, the General Practitioner, Fuchsia Bunny, Doc Sprately, and Leech flies.
For the drift fisherman (steelhead, Coho and Chum) a 9-10ft steelhead rod with a 5500-6500 ambassador levelwind reel with 15lb test and 12lb leader is recommended. For Chinook a 11ft stiff rod with a 7000ambassador spooled with 25lb test. Common methods for steelhead are lures, floated roe (till may15th only), bottom bouncing spinning glows with hoochies, small jigs, and float fishing pink worms. For Chinook and chum we recommend lures like the Kitimats, as well as large marabou jigs, and bottom bouncing spinning glows with hoochies.
For Coho we use koho 55s, small jigs, mepps, and floated roe (September 7th re-opens).
