Cabin rentals in Kootenay National Park

These cabins are a mountain retreat located on 100 acres of secluded pine trees nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies on the edge of Kootenay National Park in British Columbia. The 8 cabins offer a wilderness experience in a peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful pine trees and wild flowers with a mountain stream trickling close by and a breathtaking view of the beautiful Kootenay Mountains. All cabins are sparkling clean and have been recently renovated with great care, offering perfect harmony between "the old" and "the new" while taking care to preserve their original charm. Each cabin has a unique cozy atmosphere, complete with a queen log bed with down comforter, a twin bed, and a sitting area with a wood-burning fireplace just waiting to be curled up in front of with your favourite book.

You can also relax on the large decks and take in the great mountain views or enjoy the wood fired hot tub after an active day on the trail or river. The common kitchen at the main lodge is fully equipped with outdoor barbeque, propane stoves, ovens, fridges, cookware, tableware and dining area.You only have to bring your food and you can enjoy the company of your fellow travellers while preparing your meals.

Season: late May to early September
Requirements: Groceries for cabin rental only during low season.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Suggested Clothing: Rain gear, warm jacket, fleece underclothes, long pants, hiking boots, t-shirts, shorts, bathing suit.
Difficulty: Easy
Restrictions: No pets allowed. Two night minimum stay.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Kootenay National Park, a half hour from the world famous Radium Hot Springs and one hour from Banff and Lake Louise.
Accommodations: Our cabins are equipped with solar powered lights, while indoor plumbing, showers, and electricity is available at the main lodge for the use of all guests. Cabins are non-smoking environments, and offer weekly housekeeping with daily wood delivery for your fireplace. There is a large outdoor firepit area for weiner roasts, evening campfires, storytelling or just to sit and star gaze. The main lodge building is very spacious, providing a large kitchen, showers, and common living room. The large living room includes vaulted ceilings, mountain views, log framed beams, fireplace, and log furniture.
Meal Information: When meals are not provided during the low season, meals can be prepared by the clients during this period at the main lodge. Please note there are no restaurants or stores in the area nor any close by. Food supplies are to be brought with you to the lodge, but utensils, dishes, pots and equipment are provided.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures range from 15 to 25 degrees celsius.
