The lodge offers a variety of winter pursuits. For Nordic skiers there are miles of track-set classic cross country ski trails surrounding the lodge and unlimited opportunities for off-piste Nordic ski touring. The rolling terrain is perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers, but advanced skiers will not be disappointed by the incredible variety of terrain. You can also experience the peace and tranquility of the Upper Callaghan valley by snowshoe. Huge stands of old growth forests and powder-filled sub-alpine meadows surround the lodge, just waiting to be discovered. For a truly unique experience, reminiscent of a simpler era gone by, let us arrange a private dog sledding adventure for you. For the more vertically inclined, Callaghan Country is arguably one of the best places in BC for backcountry skiing. Acres of untracked powder, high alpine bowls, steep chutes and gladed trees runs are yours for the taking. For those guests who are strong skiers with previous touring experience and knowledge of avalanche safety and self-rescue, self-guided touring is an option, though we strongly recommend that you let us arrange for a professional A.C.M.G. guide to lead your group. Hiring a private guide is the best way to maximize your safety AND enjoyment.
