This trail winds along incredible ocean views and your guides provide many opportunities for you to interact with the unique environment that exists in this special part of the world. On this adventure you ramble along the East Coast Trail (ECT). As the name suggests the ECT is a coastal walking and hiking experience along the scenic shores in the Irish Loop region on Newfoundland and Labrador's Avalon Peninsula. Strolling this trail offer outlooks of towering cliffs, high headlands, sea stacks, and deep fjords almost entirely within view of the rugged Atlantic Ocean. Whales regularly breach the surface of the ocean while bald eagles soar and seabirds abound. The guests access once thriving settlements, lighthouses, ecological reserves, historic sites, a 50-meter suspension bridge, and a modern archaeological dig of a 17th century fishing settlement founded by Lord Baltimore (of Maryland fame).
