Orchard tour near Kelowna

Enjoy this easy hiking tour during your next visit to Kelowna. This tour begins with transport to Kelowna Land and Orchard Company. You take a wagon tour of this historic orchard formed in 1914. You will learn about heritage varieties of fruit and the changes the industry has gone through in the last 90 years. Kelowna Land and Orchard Company has become one of the largest and most modern orchard operations in Canada leading the world in environmental technologies. You will have lunch at the Teahouse Restaurant while enjoying the view of the valley. After lunch you do a hike to the Mission Creek Eco Center. They have wonderful displays about the area's history and flora and fauna. In late Sept and early Oct you can also have a chance to see the Kokanee (fresh water salmon) spawning.
