Salmon fishing at a luxury lodge in the Charlottes

Discover world class comfort and ocean fishing at this lodge on the Queen Charlotte Islands. Located in North America's richest salmon and halibut waters, anglers staying at this beautiful lodge have the first opportunity to intercept salmon destined for hundreds of rivers along the west coast. It is this spectacular fishing which attracts growing numbers of anglers and nature lovers alike to this area. Salmon top 70 lbs in these local waters, 50 pounders are caught weekly and 30 pounders daily. At the end of the day visitors will enjoy first class accommodations, delicious meals and a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

There is plenty to do for the non-angler too. The waters and inter-tidal zones around the lodge are teeming with wildlife. You will find Dungeness crab, salmon fry, schools of squid and pods of orca. The abundance and diversity of the marine life will amaze you. For the avid hiker, you can explore the ancient forests of Haida Gwaii, known as the Canadian Galapagos. Lush meadows are surrounded by towering spruce, hemlock and cedar cloaked in mosses. The forests are home to eagles, raven, martens and the world's largest black bears.

Suggested Clothing: Jacket, sweater, long pants, fleece clothing to wear under floatation suit, t-shirts, warm gloves, comfortable shoes, hat.
Difficulty: Easy
Equipment Provided: Boats, tackle and bait, all-weather floatation gear, fishing licence, care of your catch.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Vancouver. Package price includes airfare from Vancouver to the lodge.
Accommodations: Deluxe accommodations that include a fireplace lounge, bar, dining room, hot tub, gift shop, games room and satellite TV. All bedrooms have private washrooms.
Meal Information: Gourmet meals range from local seafood to prime rib to fine pastries.
Guide Information: Guides are available upon request.
Weather Information: Summer temperatures average between 15 and 25 degrees celsius.
