Hotel-based hiking tour through the Rockies

Explore the parks of BC and Alberta on this hotel-based hiking adventure. This circle tour from Vancouver stays in lodges and other unique accommodations, many of which are located in spectacular areas less traveled by other tourists. You will explore four national parks, home to vast glaciers rimmed with ice, deep forests, and emerald green lakes - some of the most majestic mountain scenery on earth. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to easy walks and hikes, narrate the natural history of the area, and make sure you take in the best of the Rockies on each day you travel.

Hiking locations include Salmon Arm, Golden, Banff National Park, Kootenay National Park, Yoho National Park and Revelstoke.

Season: May to September
Requirements: Meals, cost of optional activities.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle.
Suggested Clothing: Warm coat, rain gear, sneakers, hiking boots, long pants, sweater, shorts, t-shirts, hat, bathing suit, towel.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Maximum Number of People: 15
Equipment Provided: 15 passenger maxi-van, driver, park fees, entrance fees to Hells’ Gate and the Sulphur Mountain Tram.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Vancouver, BC.
Accommodations: Accommodations are in lodges, resorts and guesthouses along the route.
Meal Information: Six breakfasts, one lunch and two dinners are included.
Guide Information: All activities and sightseeing is led by an experienced leader familiar with the culture, geography, history and wildlife of the area. All drivers/leaders are first aid certified.
Weather Information: In the summer months, most areas of the Rockies offer warm and hot days and cool nights. Average temperatures are between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
