Snowmobiling tours in the Columbia Mountains

Break away from the weekly grind and come snowmobiling in the deep powder snow of the Columbia Mountains. During these snowmobiling trips you will have a chance to explore the many trails and alpine meadows of Boulder Mountain and Frisby Ridge, two of the best snowmobiling areas in western Canada.

The Columbia Mountains of western Canada are known around the world for their massive annual snowfall of 50-60 feet and incredible powder snow conditions. Great snowmobiling is guaranteed during the winter. Moderate temperatures, the extensive network of groomed trails and endless alpine meadows all make this a world class snowmobile destination.

Snowmobiling tours in the Columbia Mountains

Season: November 2007 to April 2008
Requirements: Optional insurance, alcoholic beverages.
Suggested Items: Camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle.
Suggested Clothing: Fleece underclothes, long underwear, hat.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Equipment Provided: 550 cc Yamaha snowmobiles equipped for mountain riding, helmet, boots, snowmobile suit, gloves, fuel.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Revelstoke, BC. Revelstoke can be reached via Highway #1 from Calgary (5 hours) or Vancouver (6 hours). Transportation arrangements available.
Accommodations: Accommodations are in a local lodge.
Meal Information: Three day trip includes two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners. Four day trip includes three breakfasts, three lunches and three dinners. Five day trips includes 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinner.
Guide Information: Your guides are professional and knowledgeable about the area.
Weather Information: Winter temperatures average between 0 and -15 degrees celsius.
Comments: Low season rates available. Insurance of $20/machine is available to reduce own risk to $750.
