Canoeing trip into Algonquin Provincial Park

This 3 day canoeing adventure is perfect for anyone with a tight schedule but would like to experience Algonquin Provincial Park. This is an excellent introduction to wilderness camping and canoeing and is suitable for all skill levels. Algonquin Park is a very popular summer destination. Warm, sunny days, cool fresh water lakes and clear star-filled nights contribute to an unequalled setting for a camping experience. The park has a large wildlife population and you can expect to see moose, bears, deer and more.

Canoeing trip into Algonquin Provincial Park

Only 3 hours north of Toronto, Algonquin Provincial Park is Ontario's oldest park and one of the largest in Canada. It boasts over 7600 square kilometers, with over 2000 fresh water lakes. Within its borders can be found deer, moose, beaver, wolves, bears and many other wild animals, all in their natural habitats. This park is so large and so varied that one end of the park can have entirely different weather from the other end!

Season: May to early October
Requirements: Sleeping bag, flashlight, shoes that can get wet.
Suggested Clothing: Bring clothes suitable for a variety of summer weather conditions. Rain gear, warm jacket, hiking boots, long pants, shorts, t-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, hat, warm socks, sneakers, swim suit.
Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate
Equipment Provided: Canoes and equipment, camping equipment, tents.
Transportation: Trips originate and end in Algonqin Park. Transportation arrangements from Toronto available for an additional cost.
Accommodations: Accommodations are in tent campsites along the route.

Meal Information: All meals are included.
Guide Information: Your guides are experienced and knowledgeable of the area.
