ABOUT THIS REGION  WHITEWATER RAFTING

Whitewater rafting the Elaho/Squamish Rivers

These whitewater rafting trips offer a unique and extraordinary river experience for the rafting enthusiast. Only one hour from Vancouver & Whistler, this whitewater excursion has everything for the novice and experienced rafter. Join the fun this summer as we raft the Squamish & Elaho river system (pronounced "EE-la-ho"), our favourite whitewater trip. Cutting through a deep canyon, you'll raft approximately 16 kms (10 miles) of British Columbia's most inspiring wilderness, with glaciers and waterfalls that cascade hundreds of feet to the river. Everyone on the raft has a paddle, and under the direction of the guide, a sense of teamwork is quickly established making the rafts quite maneuverable during your 2-3 hour rafting journey. The upper section features the exciting Class 3-4 "Devil's Elbow" rapids part of the same route that was used for the 1996 Eco-Challenge Adventure Race. Along the way, adrenaline junkies have the option to jump off a cliff, swim through rapids, and take part in a raft rodeo. Ask your guide to hit what has been called Canada's largest standing wave!

Single day and overnight trips are available. For something unique, try one of our combination adventures that include one day of whitewater rafting and one day on a scenic raft float. For accommodations you camp right on the river for a true wilderness experience.
