On your next trip to Banff try fishing for lake trout on Lake Minnewanka in the splendor of the Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park. Professional guides take you out in comfortable boats where you will have the opportunity to catch large lake trout up to 45 pounds. Lake Minnewanka is considered one of the top lake trout fisheries in Canada, and one of the few that is accessible by road in Alberta.
Morning, mid-day or evening departures are available, and groups of up to 16 anglers can be accommodated. Lake Minnewanka is long, narrow and deep. Both expert and novice fishermen will benefit from these guided trips. You will learn techniques from our local experts who will take you to the fish. The scenery is amazing and the potential exists for a huge lake trout on the end of your line. Catch and release fishing is promoted.
